The Windwood Music Festival presents “Season V: Arrivals,” an evening of story and song to kick off its fifth season! Featuring internationally-renowned classical musicians alongside local legends, this event celebrates five years of Windwood and the city that we call home, Airdrie. This program features classical hits such as Anton Arensky’s luscious piano trio, Felix Mendelssohn’s fiery Octet featuring Windwood alumni and resident artists, Shelley Washington’s Middleground, a beautiful homage to the lands we give our hearts to, and Alanis Morisette’s Hand in Pocket, featuring Airdrie’s very own Mayor Heather Spearman. The evening will end with an audience choice piece and a reception where we will cut the cake to celebrate 5 years of Windwood!
