Community Orchestra Play-In Op. 2

After a very successful Community Orchestra Play-In event that had 56 musicians on July 28th, musicians from Calgary and the surrounding area are once again invited to play in  COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA PLAY-IN OPUS 2!! 

DATE: Tuesday, August 31, 2021
TIME: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
LOCATION: McDougall United Church (8516 Athabasca Street SE, Calgary, AB T2H 1S1)

WHO’S INVITED: EVERYONE!!!

WHAT ARE WE PLAYING:

Piotr Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 “Pathetique”
Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 1 “Titan”

This is an open invitation so, please invite anyone you know! We will need MANY Brass and Woodwind players - especially french horns, trombones, and bassoons. Currently, we have 15 violins, 5 violas, 5 cellos, 4 double basses, 6 flutes, 3 oboes, 4 clarinets, 3 bassoons, 6 horns, 5 trumpets, 0 trombones, 2 tubas, and 3 percussions.

If you play Brass or Woodwind, please RSVP to Ross at ross.a.lemon@gmail.com. Violins - please RSVP as well to let us know if you would like to play Violin 1 or Violin 2.

Please bring your instrument, music part, and music stand. The music can be download through Dropbox.

Please keep in mind, this is not a performance, this is not a rehearsal, this is a fun play-through! We will be watching the status of the pandemic and the case numbers closely in order to ensure we are all kept safe.
